CARTERVILLE – The Carterville Police Department received a report of gunshots coming from a vehicle on Dent Street firing towards an unoccupied area of Cannon Park at 11:20 Thursday morning.
Police say several police departments responded to the area. There were no reports of damage or injuries. There was no immediate threat to the community. The incident is still under investigation.
