CARBONDALE – A Carbondale man has been arrested in connection with a reported stabbing that Carbondale Police say took place Tuesday afternoon at a business in the 100 block of East Jackson Street.
Police say officers quickly arrived around 3:20 p.m. and found the victim suffering from a serious but non-life-threatening stab wound. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers identified the suspect as 62-year-old Linza Russell of Carbondale. Russell fled the scene in his vehicle after stabbing the victim. Officers quickly located and arrested Russell in the 1200 block of East Grand Avenue. Russell was charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery and is lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Carbondale Police continue to investigate the stabbing.
