Electronics Recycling Event Saturday in Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON – The City of Mt. Vernon has announced it will be hosting an electronics recycling event Saturday.
In an effort to promote environmental sustainability and responsible waste management, the city will hold the recycling event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Public Works Department located at 1201 Casey Avenue.
Residents are encouraged to bring their unwanted electronic items, including TVs, cell phones, monitors, VCRs, DVD players, video game consoles, electric power washers, vacuums, humidifiers, small household appliances, keyboards, laptops, printers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, modems, routers, audio/video equipment, modems, routers, and AC adaptors.
To participate in the Electronics Recycling Event, residents must provide a valid water bill.
Non-residents are also welcome to participate in the event; however, a nominal fee ranging from $5 to $35 will be charged based on the type and size of the item. This fee will help cover the costs associated with the recycling process.
It is important to note that each account is limited to a maximum of two TVs and/or monitors.
This measure is in place to accommodate as many residents as possible and ensure a fair distribution of resources.
