CARBONDALE – Two Carbondale residents are facing charges after Carbondale Police responded to the 300 block of North Oakland Avenue for a report of gunshots around 5:40 Saturday morning.
According to Carbondale Police, officers arrived and learned a firearm was discharged outside a home during a domestic disturbance. In the course of the investigation, officers arrested 29-year-old Shirley A. Monroe of Carbondale for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and 41-year-old Kenneth W. Vann of Carbondale for Domestic Battery.
After conferring with the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, both Monroe and Vann were lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Carbondale Police continue to investigate.
