MURPHYSBORO – IDOT says starting Tuesday, there will be a traffic shift on eastbound Illinois 13 near the Big Muddy River in Murphysboro so substructure repairs can begin, weather permitting.
To safely complete the work on the eastbound structure, traffic will shift from the eastbound to the westbound lanes of Illinois 13 utilizing crossovers. The westbound lanes will accommodate both directions of traffic during construction.
The new traffic configuration is expected to remain in place until Feb. 2.
You can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
