Traffic Stop near Colp Leads to Man’s Arrest for Meth, Drug Paraphernalia

COLP – A man was recently cited after meth and drug paraphernalia were found in his vehicle by Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies following a traffic stop on Dr. Springs Road near Colp.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, James R. Hansil was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving while License Suspended, No Valid Driver’s License and Expired Registration. He was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

Just after midnight on Thursday, Feb. 15, deputies saw Hansil traveling on Dr. Springs Road without valid vehicle registration. Deputies stopped Hansil and discovered he had a suspended driver’s license.

Hansil was arrested and a vehicle inventory resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia and a clear plastic bag containing a crystal like substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.

He was then cited and taken to jail.
