CARMI/MCLEANSBORO – A Carmi woman was taken into custody in McLeansboro Monday for allegedly stealing a vehicle from another Carmi woman’s property.
According to the Carmi Police Department, 37-year-old Amber J. Sauls signed a complaint and reported a stolen vehicle from her property. A suspect was developed – 62-year-old Robin L. Watkins.
Police say throughout Monday afternoon, information and evidence was obtained and the vehicle was thought to be around Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
McLeansboro Police arrived and located the stolen vehicle as well as Watkins. Watkins was taken into custody for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and taken to the White County Jail.
When Watkins arrived at the jail, Carmi Police charged her with Theft over $500 and Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle. Watkins was detained in jail on the charges.
