Norris City Woman Arrested on Warrant for Violating Order of Protection

NORRIS CITY – A Norris City woman was recently arrested on an active White County warrant for Unlawful Violation of an Order of Protection.

According to the White County Sheriff’s Office, a responding officer was contacted by Norris City Police Chief Dustin Dale around 12:45 p.m. Thursday in reference to a wanted subject – 39-year-old Jennie M. Woodrow.

Chief Dale told the officer he was at Doug’s Food Mart in Norris City and saw Woodrow walk in. The officer knew Woodrow was wanted out of White County and told Chief Dale he would be enroute to his location.

While enroute to the business, Chief Dale told dispatch he would be out with Woodrow. That’s when dispatch told Chief Dale about the active White County warrant we mentioned earlier.

When the officer arrived, he met with Chief Dale and Woodrow on the south side of Doug’s parking lot by the picnic tables. The officer got out of his patrol car and Chief Dale had already informed Woodrow of her warrant. She was then arrested and checked for weapons and contraband. The officer did not find anything in his search. Woodrow was then placed in the squad car and taken to the White County Jail where she was booked on the warrant.
