Deputies Cite Man for Meth, Other Offenses at Self-Storage Facility in Marion

MARION – A man was recently cited for meth and other offenses after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies saw a suspicious vehicle at a closed self-storage facility on West Main Street in Marion.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, just after midnight last Monday, deputies pulled in to investigate and the driver indicated that he was dropping off items to store at the facility.

When deputies asked the driver if he rented the unit he was attempting to open, he advised that he did. It was observed however, that his key did not fit either unit he claimed to rent.

Deputies also noted that the driver did not appear to have reasonable items to drop off in the middle of the night.

While speaking with the driver, deputies discovered he had a suspended driver’s license.

A consent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of illegal controlled substance, narcotics packaging materials, and multiple containers/baggies containing a white crystal-like substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.

The driver, identified as William J. Marks, was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Valid Driver’s License, and Driving while License Suspended.

Marks was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
