CARRIER MILLS – The Village of Carrier Mills will hold an electronics recycling event Saturday at the Carrier Mills Municipal Building parking lot on North Mill Street. The event will run from 9 to 11 a.m. or until the truck is full.
Anything that can be plugged in is required to be recycled. You can’t take electronics to the landfill anymore. So bring your electronic items that you don’t want or just don’t work anymore and recycle them for a very small cost to you.
All TVs, computer monitors and flat screens do have a fee, based on the size.
Due to recycling costs, the following items are no longer accepted for free: vacuums, microwaves, printers and copiers. They now cost a $1 to be recycled. Paint and tires will not be accepted.
The event is not limited to Carrier Mills residents. Anyone from the area may bring items to be recycled.
