CARMI – A woman was taken to and booked in the White County Jail and released with a Notice to Appear after being involved in an alleged hit-and-run Friday night in Carmi.
According to Carmi Police, officers were sent to Pundrakes convenience store for a hit-and-run around 10:50 p.m.
Officers reviewed video footage and had a complaint signed.
Officers found the vehicle involved in the accident at the intersection of Illinois Street and Sycamore Street. They arrested 25-year-old Katie Sue Grant of Carmi for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in vehicle damage. The vehicle was towed.
Grant was then taken to jail and released with her appear notice.
