HERRIN – John Meadows, 78, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at Herrin Hospital at 4:50 p.m.
John was born February 12, 1949, in Christopher, Illinois, to John and Lillie (Sanders) Meadows.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Franklin and Charles Meadows.
John is survived by his sisters, Claudia McGhee and Marlene Williams; brother, Allen (Madeline) Meadows; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the Mulkeytown Cemetery in Mulkeytown, Illinois.
There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service.
The Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort is in charge of arrangements.
