Franklin County Sheriff’s Report

BENTON – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office released the following information on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024. 

8-25-24 Gage R. Wysong, age 21, of Benton was issued traffic citations for driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.

8-26-24 Kendra R. Marvel, age 34, of Logan was arrested for violation of an order of protection.

8-26-24 Vincent L. Villasana, age 39, of Harrisburg was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

8-26-24 John D. Talley, age 34, of West Frankfort was issued a traffic citation for having an expired registration.

8-27-24 Lawanda K. Hollifield, age 39, of Marion was arrested for aggravated battery and a failure to appear warrant for domestic battery.

8-27-24 April D. Watson, age 43, of Buckner was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and a Williamson County failure to appear warrant for possession of methamphetamine.

8-27-24 Carla D. Neikes, age 56, of Benton was arrested for driving while license revoked.

8-28-24 Brian K. Mann, age 59, of Benton was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal when required.

8-28-28 Michael E. Trahan, age 26, of West Frankfort was arrested for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.

8-28-24 Bradley R. Bozic, age 31, of Johnston City was issued traffic citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.

8-28-24 Jerry R. Winemiller, age 19, of Thompsonville was issued a traffic citation for disobeying a stop sign.

8-28-24 Kelsey L. Docherty, age 33, of Benton was issued traffic citations for operating a vehicle with a expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

8-28-24 William J. Prowell, age 38, of Marion was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

8-28-24 Kaden J. Speakman-Crain, age 22, of Christopher was issued a traffic citation for failure to wear a seatbelt.

8-28-24 Charles R. Massie Jr., age 62, of Waltonville was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

8-28-24 Michael R. Coy, age 39, of McLeansboro was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

8-29-24 Ethan M. Williams, age 23, of Coello was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of hypodermic syringe or needle.

8-29-24 Larry J. Mayberry, age 24, of Eldorado was arrested for driving while license suspended.

8-29-24 Michael J. Easley, age 51, of Benton was issued traffic citations for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

8-29-24 Jon E. Brookmyer, age 62, of West Frankfort was arrested for unlawful failure to register as a sex offender.

8-30-24 Tammy L. Wemmer, age 63, of West Frankfort was arrested for domestic battery.

8-31-24 Charles M. Grisham, age 38, of Eldorado was issued a traffic citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

9-1-24 Ethan J. Verdeyen, age 19, of Mt. Vernon was issued traffic citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a stop sign.

9-2-24 Alexander J. Wysong, age 31, of Thompsonville was issued traffic citations for no valid registration and disobeying a traffic control device.

9-2-24 Alexis L. Baumgarte, age 18, of Valier was arrested for mob action.

9-3-24 David R. Mees, age 36, of Marion was arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle, aggravated battery and resisting a Peace Officer. 

WARRANT ARRESTS 

8-26-24 Christopher R. C. Abell, age 33, of Christopher. Failure to appear for driving while license suspended.

8-27-24 Noah M. Wilkins, age 22, of Harrisburg. Failure to appear for driving while license suspended.

8-28-24 Austin L. Pruett, age 40, of Centralia. Failure to appear for criminal damage to property.

8-30-24 Drew A. Dyer, age 30, of Carbondale. Failure to appear for retail theft.

9-2-24 William A. Reed, age 49, of Carterville. Failure to appear for retail theft.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
