Meth, Other Items Found at Creal Springs Traffic Stop, Two Arrested

CREAL SPRINGS – Two people were arrested and cited for multiple offenses including some that were drug-related following a late Tuesday night traffic stop in Creal Springs.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says James D. Long of Harrisburg was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Weapon/Ammunition, False or Secret Compartment, Driving while License Suspended, Failure to Signal When Required, Disobeying a Stop Sign and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

Andrea M. Bozarth of Creal Springs was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

They were both taken to the Williamson County Jail.

Around 11:45 p.m., deputies saw the vehicle Long and Bozarth were in going east on Keely Street committing several traffic violations. Long was discovered to have two outstanding arrest warrants and was driving while license suspended. 

Deputies conducted an inventory of the vehicle and found a digital scale and drug paraphernalia containing residue which field tested positive for meth. Long was also discovered to be a felon unlawfully in possession of firearm ammunition. 

Deputies also found several car stereos with the wires cut, residential items, and other personal effects which have been photographed and forwarded to detectives for further investigation. Deputies also found a magnetic hidden compartment, otherwise known as a “hide a box”, attached to the metal frame rail underneath the vehicle near the driver’s door. 

The “hide a box” contained multiple bags of a white crystal like substance and numerous smoking devices. The substance contained in the bags later field tested positive for meth.
