CARBONDALE- A Carbondale man missing since mid-August has been found dead.
According to Carbondale Police, their detectives with help from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office responded to a rural area between North Oakland Street and New Era Road Saturday afternoon.
The investigation revealed the deceased person to be 67-year-old Richard E. Slomkowski.
No foul play is suspected at this time. His death is believed to be accidental. Slomkowski was last seen on Aug. 13.
