HEROD – A 14-year-old juvenile was rescued and flown to a Kentucky hospital Monday afternoon after accidentally falling 20 feet from the Camel Rock observation trail at Garden of the Gods in the Shawnee National Forest.
The Equality Fire Department was the lead agency in the rescue and said the juvenile was stable at the time they were airlifted to the hospital.
The Harrisburg, Ridgeway and Shawnee Fire Departments provided mutual aid.
