Four Facing Drug Charges Following Recent Arrests at Paducah Hotel

PADUCAH – Two southern Illinois residents are facing drug-related charges along with two others from western Kentucky after being arrested at a unnamed hotel on Hinkleville Road in Paducah.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, sheriff’s detectives last Wednesday afternoon assisted U.S. Marshals in locating 40-year-old Autumn Lynn of Golconda. Lynn was a wanted fugitive and arrested on a federal indictment for drug offenses at a Paducah hotel.

When law enforcement found Lynn at the hotel, they also found 43-year-old Jeremy Stevens of Metropolis and 26-year-old Benjamin Bates of Paducah in Lynn’s hotel room. Detectives also saw and recovered illegal drugs including Fentanyl and marijuana in plain sight.

Detectives learned that Bates was also staying at the same hotel with his girlfriend, 26-year-old Stephanie Sexton of Paducah. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Bates’ hotel room and found a small amount of methamphetamine, suspected Fentanyl pills, burnt foils, syringes, a small amount of marijuana and a digital scale.

Marshals took Lynn to the Williamson County Jail. Bates and Sexton were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Detectives have now obtained warrants on Lynn and Stevens.

Bates is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified), Drug Paraphernalia, Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense – (< 2 Grams Methamphetamine) and Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives, Possession of Marijuana).

Sexton is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st offense (Drug Unspecified) and Drug Paraphernalia.

Lynn is charged with a fugitive warrant, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified) and Drug Paraphernalia.

Stevens is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
