Hamilton County Chamber Holds Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet

PIOPOLIS – The Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet Saturday night at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis.

Since last year’s event, the Chamber has grown to 102 members with 13 new members this year.

The Chamber awarded its first $1,000 business grant to Main Street Diner and the first emergency grant this year for $1,000 went to KG’s Market.

Hometown Swirls was presented with this year’s Business of the Year award.

The Ted Satterfield award went to Sam Wilson, who was also presented with an award as a retiring board member with over 15 years on the board.

Terry Wells provided music for the event. The Ladies of Piopolis cooked an excellent meal as well as Tom Anselment for the smoked pork chops according to the Chamber. 

The Chamber now turns its attention toward the annual Hamco Food and Brew Fest. It will be held March 1 at the Big Red Barn in McLeansboro.
