MARION – Marion residents can get rid of their yard waste as the city will hold its Fall Clean Up Dec. 2 through Dec. 13.
Sections of Marion will be divided into quadrants by Court Street and Main Street.
Each quadrant will be picked up on the days that are scheduled. No return pickups or appointments will be made.
The city asks that you do the following:
• Small limbs must be separated and tied and measure no more than 6’ long or 2″ in diameter.
• All leaves are to be bagged or boxed.
• All bags must be set on the street side the day preceding the pick-up for the designated area.
• No other items will be picked up, strictly yard waste only.
• No return pick-ups.
• No pick-ups by appointment.
The Street Department Facility is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon for Marion residents to dispose of yard waste year around and is located at 1316 S. Van Buren St.
Any groups that are looking to help a neighbor out with yard work, please do so before the scheduled pickup date and have the waste on the curb to be picked up.
