Meth, Beer Found at Johnston City Traffic Stop, Driver Arrested

JOHNSTON CITY – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies made an arrest late Friday night after illegal narcotics and alcohol were found in her vehicle at a traffic stop in Johnston City.

Around 11:10 p.m. deputies saw Brandy J. Meracle run a stop sign at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 10th Street. Her vehicle’s registration was checked. It expired in May 2019.

Deputies stopped Meracle and a sheriff’s K9 unit arrived. A free air sniff of the vehicle resulted in a positive alert to the odor of illegal narcotics.

Meth, Schedule 2 and 3 controlled substances, Drug Paraphernalia with Meth Residue and an open can of Keystone Light was found during a search of her vehicle.

She was taken into custody and cited for Meth Possession, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Transportation Of Alcohol, Disobeying a Stop Sign, Expired Registration and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle

She was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
