WOODLAWN – Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 30-year-old Christopher J. Richardson at his home in Woodlawn Friday night on a Jefferson County warrant charging Child Pornography and Unlawful Grooming. He was taken to and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail to await his pretrial detention hearing. Online court records show his hearing is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
The warrant and subsequent arrest of Richardson was a result of a sheriff’s office investigation initiated on Sept. 28 after members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a Cybertip alleging solicitation of a juvenile aged minor for nude pictures.
The investigation resulted in multiple search warrants being obtained and served on suspect accounts, electronic devices, and Richardson’s home. Upon completion of the investigation, the case file was forwarded to the States Attorney’s Office for charging.
