MT. VERNON – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says westbound I-64 traffic will be switched onto the new westbound pavement Monday.
Over the next few weeks, the temporary concrete barrier will be relocated to the westbound side. All eastbound and westbound traffic will then be on the new pavement, separated by the temporary concrete barrier. Crossovers will be discontinued until the temporary concrete barrier is relocated.
When temporary concrete barrier relocation is complete in two to three weeks, all eastbound and westbound traffic will be on westbound I-64 separated by a temporary concrete barrier. Crossovers will be in-service at that point. Please use caution in the area.
