BENTON – Several area fire departments assisted Benton Fire with battling multiple house fires at Lake Benton Saturday afternoon.
Fire was showing from two homes when fire crews arrived. Both homes suffered damage and were a total loss. Some siding on a third home was damaged due to the fire. One of the homes was empty and being remodeled according to Benton Fire. The second home was a vacation home. No one was at home at the time of the fire.
The fire is not believed to be suspicious, but the state fire marshal is investigating.
Then on Sunday afternoon, Benton Fire responded to a pool house fire attached to a house and another structure at Lake Benton.
