SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – If you have any plans for this weekend, you might want to keep an eye on the weather as the National Weather Service in Paducah says a potential winter storm remains possible Sunday into Monday.
While it’s too early to determine precipitation types and amounts, forecasters say impacts to travel are a growing possibility.
Meanwhile, a Wind Advisory is in effect for our area until 5 this afternoon.
Northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts of 40 to 45 mph are expected.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and outdoor items. A few trees may be uprooted due to the wet ground, and tree limbs could be blown down as well. This may result in a few power outages.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
