Woman Cited for Escape after Failing to Report to Williamson County Jail

MARION – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a woman for not reporting to the county jail to serve weekends as ordered by the court.

According to the sheriff’s office, Jashayla L. Lacy didn’t show up at 6 p.m. Friday.

Lacy, a convicted felon, was sentenced under a plea agreement in October to serve 15 consecutive weekends in jail starting Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. and 12 months court supervision. The sentence resolved multiple pending cases against Lacy.

Deputies spent countless hours trying to find Lacy in several counties. After receiving tips from the public and intelligence gathering, deputies went to the 1600 block of West Yost Street in Marion. Deputies saw Lacy on foot traveling from the apartment complex. She was taken into custody without further incident.

State law says depending on the underlying offense, the sentence, and the failure to comply to the court order, violators can be sentenced to a term of up to five years in prison. In cases where the violator is armed, the sentence can elevate to 15 years.

Lacy was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail cited with one count of Escape.
