MCLEANSBORO – James (Jim) Tucker, 82, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Silver Fox Nursing Home in McLeansboro, IL.
Jim was born September 8, 1942, in Dale, IL. He was a son of James Thomas Tucker and Wanna Grace (Merrill) Tucker. James married Julia Batley on May 30, 1964, in Kankakee, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Julia, of Dale, IL; a son, James T. (Jimmy) Tucker and wife, Tara, of McLeansboro, IL; and a daughter, Charmon Morris of Herrin, IL. Surviving grandchildren are Lindsay Marshall and husband, James, of Herrin, IL, Josh Morris and wife, Jessica, of AFB Germany, Sydney Tucker of Broughton, IL, and Cord Tucker, of Broughton, IL. His sister, Sue Brown, McLeansboro, IL. also survives.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Cole Tucker.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and/or the McLeansboro Animal Shelter.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with services at 1:00 p.m., at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, IL, with Pastor Randal Ragan officiating.
Burial of ashes will follow at Digby Hill Cemetery in Dale, IL.
