HERRIN – Fire destroyed a home early Thursday morning on Illinois 148 north of Herrin.
According to Herrin Fire, a possible electrical or space heater issue may have caused the blaze. It started in the garage and ran through the attic. Everyone got out safely.
Herrin Fire was assisted by the Marion Fire Department, Williamson County Fire Protection District and United Medical Response.
