HARRISBURG – Harrisburg Police Thursday cited nine people for selling alcohol to minors.
The citations were given after Harrisburg Police and the Illinois Liquor Control Commission conducted alcohol compliance checks at 16 businesses that sell alcohol in the city of Harrisburg.
Employees from nine of those sixteen businesses were cited for Unlawful Gift or Sale of Alcohol to a Minor. The businesses where the violations took place were Aldi, Little Vegas, Tequila’s, Jenna’s Gaming, Speakeasy Liquors, Farm Fresh, El Ranchito, JoJo’s and JD’s Gaming.
Police say these are only informal charges. Everyone cited is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
