BENTON – A McLeansboro man has been arrested and charged with two counts of Theft in connection with recent thefts at two businesses.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office helped Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies locate 42-year-old Ryan P. Nalley. Nalley was taken back to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office where he was interviewed. As a result he was then charged and lodged in the Franklin County Jail.
The sheriff says they began investigating a theft from Payne’s Service Station in Thompsonville on Jan. 17. During the investigation, a suspect was developed. It was soon determined that the same suspect was also involved in another theft that happened at Ace Hardware in Benton on Jan. 15.
