Stolen Vehicle Recovered Following Weekend Crash in Williamson County

MARION – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies were able to recover a stolen vehicle after responding to a report of a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Lake of Egypt Road and Power Plant Road Sunday morning.

Deputies discovered that the driver and/or occupants had fled prior to their arrival.

The vehicle’s registration and VIN number did not provide any indication why the vehicle was abandoned. Deputies contacted the registered owner who wasn’t aware their vehicle was missing. It had been stolen overnight out of Johnson County.

Investigators with the Williamson and Johnson County sheriff’s offices are working to determine who stole the vehicle and who had possession of it at the time of the crash.
