SPRINGFIELD – As the 104th General Assembly gets under way, State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) has been re-appointed by Senate Republican Leader John Curran to serve as Assistant Republican Leader.
“Senator Fowler is a relentless advocate for the people of Southern Illinois, working to create economic opportunities for our more rural communities,” said Leader Curran (R-Downers Grove). “His dedication to improving the lives of Southern Illinoisans, and his proven track record as an effective legislator make him a true leader in our Caucus. I am glad he will continue to use his skills and talents as a vital part of our leadership team.”
Senator Fowler has served in the Illinois Senate since 2017. Prior to becoming a Senator, he served as the Mayor of Harrisburg. Outside of his Senate duties, Senator Fowler is the business development officer for the Peoples National Bank in Harrisburg.

The 59th Senate District in Southern Illinois includes all or part of Alexander, Pulaski, Massac, Johnson, Pope, Union, Williamson, Saline, Hardin, Jackson, Franklin, White, Hamilton, and Gallatin counties.
