Police say a male subject was found at the scene with a cut to his eye and other facial injuries. The victim told police he saw 35-year-old Darnell F. Woods climbing on the business’s newly placed horse statue outside. The man told Woods to get off the statue, but they got into a verbal dispute that led Woods to strike and batter the victim.

Woods was arrested without incident and taken to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged.

The victim was taken to a local emergency room for his injuries sustained from the battery.
