HARRISBURG – A Harrisburg man arrested last month on several sex crime charges is set to be arraigned next month in Saline County Court.
According to online court records, 55-year-old Sherman L. Owen appeared for his preliminary hearing Monday.
Owen waived his right to a preliminary hearing. His case is not scheduled for trial. Owen will remain lodged in the Saline County Detention Center. His arraignment will be held in Saline County Court on Tuesday, March 11, at 8:30 a.m.
Harrisburg Police arrested Owen on Jan. 17 for two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, Criminal Sexual Assault, two counts of Indecent Solicitation of a Minor and five counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Owen’s arrest was made at the conclusion of an investigation conducted by the Harrisburg Police Department.
Owen did not enter a plea when he appeared in court after his arrest.
