Deputies Shut Down Herrin Drug House, Four Arrested

HERRIN  – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies searched a home in the 800 block of North 16th Street in Herrin Friday afternoon where they arrested and cited four people after methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials and digital scales were found.

Those arrested were Robert A. Weir Jr., Autumn N. Weir, Steven G. Litton and Brittany A. Stanley.

Deputies detained multiple suspects in the front yard of the home as they approached it. Several attempts were made to establish contact with the remaining occupants inside the home without success. Deputies forced entry to the home and discovered it to be occupied by four people including a one-year-old child.

Weir Jr. and Stanley were cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Autumn Weir was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Litton was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All four were lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

The toddler was released to the care of the grandmother.

The sheriff’s office has referred this matter to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
