The sheriff’s office says Skylar Joseph King was speeding 40 mph over the post speed limit and went after him after radar showed King driving 103 mph. King did not have his taillights on.

King stopped on Epworth Road just north of Illinois 141. The deputy spoke with King and told him the reason for the stop. The deputy asked for King’s driver’s license, proof of insurance and registration. King told the deputy he didn’t believe that he had proof in the vehicle.

The deputy placed King into custody and took him to the White County Jail.

King was cited for Speeding 103 mph in a post 55 mph zone, Improper Lane Usage, No Proof of Insurance, Reckless Driving and Improper Lighting (No Red Tail Lights when Required).

The deputy explained each citation to King. King signed a Notice to Appear form and was released around 9:30 Sunday night. He will appear in White County Court on March 25.
