MCLEANSBORO – The State Fire Marshal is investigating a Monday morning house fire on Illinois 14 in McLeansboro.
According to the McLeanboro Fire Department, several area fire departments and emergency responders were called to the scene around 10:50 a.m. after Hamilton County 911 got calls about the fire.
When firefighters arrived, they found a house trailer with a built on enclosed front porch with heavy fire and it had spread to the residence.
Due to wind conditions, the home’s construction and low manpower, additional resources were brought in and to back fill the McLeansboro fire station.
Crew were on scene for about five hours total conducting extinguishment and overhaul. The occupants have been displaced by this fire but are currently receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. There were no injuries to fire personnel or residents during this incident.
