MT. VERNON – Mt. Vernon Police will be cracking down on speeders.
Police will be conducting more speed enforcement details and will tell you where their focus will be.
Police will be looking for speeders on Broadway, but that doesn’t mean other areas won’t be enforced. All areas will be enforced and you are still likely to get stopped for speeding in other areas.
You need to keep in mind that you will be fined for speeding and this can also increase your insurance rates.
Police want you to voluntarily comply and obey the speed limit rather than giving you a citation.
