Carbondale Man Lands in Jail for Aggravated Battery, Other Charges

CARBONDALE – A Carbondale man is charged with Aggravated Battery, Manufacture/Delivery of Look-Alike Controlled Substances and Resisting a Peace Officer after he and another unidentified person battered someone who was found unconscious by Carbondale Police in the 100 block of North Washington Street around 10:30 Monday night.

According to Carbondale Police, 24-year-old Tyrique T. Williams is lodged in the Jackson County Jail.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

After police found Williamson, he fled on foot leading police on a brief foot chase and was then caught.

Williams was found to be in possession of suspected narcotics when he was arrested. He was then charged and taken to jail.
