CHRISTOPHER – Two people were recently lodged in the Franklin County Jail after marijuana and a loaded gun were found in their vehicle following a traffic stop in Christopher.
Christopher Police say 22-year-old Dalexis D. Ransom of Benton and her passenger, 21-year-old Marshun D. Johnson of Benton, both had active arrest warrants.
Ransom was charged with Violation of the Cannabis Control Act, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, one active warrant and three motor vehicle violations.
Johnson was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, three active warrants and Obstructing Identification.
Police saw the vehicle Ransom and Johnson were in Saturday commit several vehicle violations nearly causing a traffic accident. They were stopped and the officer told Ransom the reason for the stop.
During the investigation, officers discovered that Ransom and Johnson had active arrest warrants. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a large quantity of marijuana and a loaded gun.
