MARION – March 17-21 is officially designated as K-Kids Week in Marion.
This special week celebrates the commitment and enthusiasm of young leaders who are part of the K-Kids Club, the largest service organization for elementary school students.

Local leaders from the Kiwanis chapter accompanied a group of fifth graders from Longfellow Elementary, as the group gathered at City Hall. Mayor Mike Absher read the proclamation aloud, marking the beginning of this inspiring week.
K-Kids provides young members with the opportunity to discover their passion for helping others, develop essential leadership skills, and learn the importance of collaboration and engagement with their peers. Through participation in these clubs, students are encouraged to make a positive impact on their school and community.
Marion is proud to celebrate K-Kids Week, honoring the dedication and potential of its young community members. Join us in recognizing and supporting these future leaders as they strive to create a better tomorrow for all.
The Kiwanis Club invites everyone to the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at the Knights of Columbus on Saturday, April 26, from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. This event is a wonderful way for the community to come together and support the young leaders and great volunteers of Marion.
