MT. VERNON – The City of Mt. Vernon says if you have opted out of receiving text notifications about your water bill, you will not receive texts, but you may still receive a phone call until your account is manually updated.
The city’s water billing department is currently removing anyone who has opted out of text notifications from phone call notifications as well. Since the water department’s software does not update this automatically, these changes are being made manually and are expected to be completed by May.
