CARMI – A Norris City woman was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence – Blood Alcohol Content over .08, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Reckless Driving and being disorderly in an Saturday afternoon incident at Vibracoustic on East Main in Carmi.
Carmi Police say they responded to a 911 call regarding 47-year-old Kerri Austin repeatedly ramming her vehicle into her husband’s truck at the business around 3:10 p.m. When police arrived, Austin had already left the scene. Police were made aware that Austin could have been driving while under the influence.
Police found the vehicle at Casey’s and saw the damage that matched up with the truck’s damage.
Austin was arrested and taken to the White County Jail.
