PADUCAH – Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Paducah say a very active and dangerous weather pattern will continue into the weekend.

A portion of the region is in an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe thunderstorms Friday night. A severe risk will linger through Saturday.
A dangerous and potentially historic rainfall event will continue into Saturday night leading to potentially catastrophic flash flooding.
What can you do to prepare?
- Go over your severe weather plans and where to take shelter.
- Prepare for heavy rain impacts by clearing drainages and moving sensitive property.
- Have a plan to move to higher ground if needed.
An updated forecast will be released later this afternoon.
The Flood Watch continues for the entire region until Sunday morning.
