Few Strong to Severe Storms Are Possible This Afternoon

PADUCAH – The National Weather Service in Paducah says there is a marginal to slight risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon.

Large hail and damaging winds are the main concerns.

Timing should range from as early as 1 p.m. to as late as 7 p.m. northwest to southeast across the region. Additional rainfall totals of one quarter inch or less are expected.

Significant flooding also continues on several area rivers, with major flooding on all or portions of the Ohio, Green, Little Wabash, and Big Muddy Rivers. Minor to moderate flooding is occurring on several other local rivers like the Mississippi and Wabash.
