SPRINGFIELD – A bill sponsored by State Representative Dave Severin addressing the persistent problem of trash on the side of the highway when entering an on ramp or off ramp recently passed unanimously out of the Illinois House. The vote was 114-0.
Severin says many of the mayors in the 116th House district are under the impression that only IDOT is allowed to clean up the grassy areas on those on and off ramps on I-57 and I-64 that run through the district.
The bill now moves to the Senate for consideration.
