MT. VERNON – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says eastbound I-64 will be closed for emergency repairs starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday and is expected to last until Wednesday at 7 a.m.
Eastbound I-64 traffic will be diverted to the alternate route at the Centralia exit.
The alternate route will include U.S. 51 south to Illinois 15 east to I-57.
