NEW HAVEN – A three-vehicle accident with injuries was reported in White County Saturday.
White County Sheriff Jordan Weiss says just before 3 p.m., a deputy responded to the accident on Illinois 141 at County Road 1200 East.
The White County Ambulance Service, the Gallatin County Ambulance Service, New Haven Fire Department, and the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
Sheriff Weiss says it was determined that this was a rear-end accident.
A pickup truck, driven by James Nelson of Springerton, was stopped in the westbound lane on Illinois 141 waiting for oncoming vehicles to pass so he could turn south onto Shawneetown-New Haven Road.
A SUV, driven by Samantha Moore of Marion, was stopped behind the pickup truck waiting for it to turn.
Another car, driven by Danielle Bradley of Eldorado, for unknown reasons crashed into the back of the SUV. The SUV was then pushed into the back of the pickup truck.
The sheriff says in total six people were taken to local and regional hospitals for evaluation. One 13-year-old boy was airlifted for precaution.
All vehicles were towed from the scene.
