ANNA – Two people were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries after being involved in a three-vehicle crash in Union County Monday.
According to Illinois State Police, troopers responded to the crash around 12:35 p.m. on northbound U.S. 51 at Lime Kiln Road in Anna.
Preliminary information from ISP says a 2016 Ram 1500 pickup truck, driven by 54-year-old Edward A. Misker of Cobden, was going north on U.S. 51 approaching a vehicle attempting to make a left turn. As the same time, a 2022 Toyota Corolla, driven by 55-year-old Jeremy P. Keck of Murphysboro and a 2016 Chrysler 300, driven by 19-year-old Skylar M. Webb of Anna, were going south on U.S. 51 approaching the vehicle on the northbound side attempting to turn.
Misker swerved to the left crossing the center line and colliding into Keck’s vehicle, causing it to spin around and collide into Webb’s vehicle. Misker was issued a citation for Improper Lane Usage.
Misker and Keck were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Webb was not injured.
