ZEIGLER – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a pedestrian hit-and-run accident that happened around 5:50 Sunday night on Illinois 149 near Dry Road in rural Zeigler.
Sheriff Kyle Bacon says the involved vehicle did not remain on scene or stop. A passerby who did not see the incident contacted the sheriff’s office.
The pedestrian sustained significant injuries and was flown to an out of state trauma center.
The sheriff needs information about the involved vehicle in the crash.
