BENTON – Illinois State Police responded to two accidents on northbound I-57 south of Benton around 8:50 Saturday night.
The first crash involved a semi with trailer that had hydroplaned on the wet roadway, lost control and rolled over onto its passenger side.
No injuries were reported.
Several police departments assisted with traffic control.
Then another crash happened around the same time and location involving another semi with trailer and a SUV. They were able to relocate themselves off the interstate.
No injuries were reported.
ISP says there is no further information.
